The New Testament Ramble...

We'll be starting our NT ramble this Sunday (June 22). We''ll be starting in Acts 1. I know most people would think that we would start in Matthew, but Matthew is actually in the Old Testament (as are the other 3 Gospels, with the last chapter of Luke being a transitional between the Old and New). Here are a list of links for you to visit:

Luke the Evangelist

Vintage Acts
Audio lesson on Acts by Chuck Missler (Real Player format)
Very worth the time to listen.

New Things...

18Twentysix will be moving to Monday nights beginning on June 16. We'll meet at the Wilson's at 7:00. I'm excited to be able to rejoin the group since we are moving it to Mondays. Steve and Chrissy have been doing a great job.

Also, we will be starting an 18Twentysix class on Sundays at the church from 9:00 am to 10:00 am in the downstairs dining area. We will be taking a ramble through the New Testament, verse by verse. If you have a laptop, Bible, concordance and/or any commentaries on the New Testament bring them along. This will be a very in-depth study with a chance for you to ask questions and have dialogue about Scripture.

Coffee and pastries will be served. See you there.

18Twentysix. Doing Good. Moving Forward.

I look forward to 18twentysix every week. I enjoy being able to discuss Christianity with people who are trying to make their spirituality more than something that happens just at church twice a week.

We met at Denny's on Hwy 111 in Granite City this week. Next week we will be meeting at Steve and Chrissy Wilson's new house in Granite City at 8:30 pm. Contact the church office for directions (931.4042) or email info@eaglepointministry.com.

Here's something incredibly cool!

Sometimes the best thing that we could do to be the hand of Christ can be so simple. Check out what Tide is doing to help people. Maybe you could buy one of the t-shirts to help this worthy effort.

Angel Food Ministry

Angel Food is an incredible ministry. We got a chance to meet a whole lot of people that work hard to get affordable food to people who need it. We are looking forward to being involved in this worthwhile effort.
